Friends Teresa & Liz both have personal connections to cancer with, friends and family affected. They wanted to do something special to give back to some of the organizations that have helped their loved ones.
They set up a Carnival style fundraiser on July 6th, 2019 at Notre Dame Secondary school (where their kids go). It was such a blast complete with a BBQ lunch, visits from the fire dept. & police officers, games, treats, bouncy castle, photo booths, face painting, a silent auction & more!
Several participants joined in to cut or shave their hair at the event & both Teresa & Liz made lovely emotional speeches about the meaning of the event.
They raised $2265.00 for Balding for Dollars, as well as made a donation to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
Way to go & we hope to support this event again in the future!
