About Balding For Dollars

Balding for Dollars is head shaves, chopped locks and other fundraising events initiated by parents, hospital staff, friends, families, teams, clubs and communities touched by childhood cancer and blood disorders. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to support the Oncology, Hematology, and BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) programs at BC Children’s Hospital. Balding for Dollars has grown from a one day event where people gathered pledges, and in return shaved their heads to support our mandate “Bald is Beautiful”, to the many events held in communities throughout B.C. Anybody can participate in a Balding for Dollars event. Start your own event at your work place, school, community, or join us for the annual Main “Balding for Dollars” event, here at BC Children’s Hospital.
