Since 2002, the community of Whistler has supported Balding for Dollars through their annual fundraiser. Originally organized by Dave & Wendy Clark (Whistler Friends), the event was an instant crowd favorite and has become a mainstay among some of Whistler’s most anticipated fundraisers, raising over $500,000 over the past 23 years.

Bands, BBQ, Beers and Balding (BBBB) began 22 years ago in Vancouver as Bernie’s Annual Daytona Party and has since evolved into a highly successful fundraiser in Kelowna. Inspired by the courage of a young girl battling cancer, Bernie Ryan decided to shave his head to encourage more donations – and that he did! Since it’s inception, BBBB has raise over $450,000 for Balding for Dollars and over $230,000 for the KGH Foundation. Thank You!

When Oli was diagnosed with acute b-cell lymphoblastic leukemia in November 2023 his family’s lives were forever changed. Over the past year, Oli has endured countless procedures and chemo sessions. At just 6 years old, Oli already knows that not all kids with cancer will make it to remission (a goal we are still working towards). Oli hopes that the money raised at his event will help other kids like him get through the toughest journey a child and family can be asked to make.

Is anyone surprised that this courageous kid more than tripled his fundraising goal? Not us. Way to be a force of inspiration to all of those around you Oli. You are super indeed!
